Description
With the sun shining down on a warm summer’s day; the weather, competition, and colour contrast all added to the occasion and provided inspiration. Forty shades of green, towering trees and a range of shadows meant all the ingredients were there for a beautiful summer scene.
Michael chose a vantage point at the opposite end of the bowling club – taking in the bowlers as they played. That view provided the ideal angle, as the line of the grass and hedges on the right-hand side, allied to the trees in the background kept the focus on the bowlers. The clubhouse added even further interest.
In addition, the strong shadows and sunlit clouds resulted in an intense green lawn; while the white shirts and jumpers of the players offered a good contrast. Finally, the recession of the bowlers gave the work perspective.
Another of Michael’s sporting scenes is Gourock Golf Course – 10th Hole, while Autumn View – Darroch Park is a local landscape you may be interested in.
