Description

The idea for this work was to show the Snowy owl in its natural habitat, swooping down on unsuspecting prey in the long grass. With moonlight shining through its wings, highlighting its majesty in flight.

The snowy landscape and dark trees contrasting with the white feathers of the owl and pale winter sky; resulting in an eye-catching composition.

Sometimes known as the Polar owl, White owl or Artic owl, the Snowy owl is native to both North America and the Palearctic.
