Description
This wildlife work depicts a group of lionesses in the plains of Africa, either side of the dominant male lion; with something catching their eye in the distance.
The arrangement is triangular, with the head of the pride at the top of the triangle. The light coloured grass defines the outline of the lions, with the richer colour on the lion’s mane giving prominence to the design.
The large tree on the right-hand side provides balance to the composition of the big cats.
Michael’s other wildlife works include African Lion – Safari King, Tiger Head Study, On the Hunt (Bengal Tiger), and Ghost of the Mountain.
