Lodge on the Loch

Description

Along the beachfront of Luss is the Lodge on Loch Lomond, which Michael painted from the pier. The sweeping shoreline drawing the eye round to the lodge. Settled in among the trees, the sloping hills leading down towards Ben Lomond.

The small boats provide scale, while the clouds overhead give a strong sense of sunlight on the trees and water. The Loch emanates a feeling of tranquility – truly one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland.
